An Accessory Buyer's Top 5 Fall Essentials

Posted on October 14 2014

We’re excited to have Alexandra Dortch as a guest blogger again today! Alexandra has a passion for accessories, both personally and professionally as an Accessories Buyer at a luxury flash sale site. A few months ago Alexandra clued us into  5 versatile summer trends; today she gives us insight into must-have fall accessories.

What I love about this season's hot accessories is that they are timeless. Each of the items I've included on this list is classically timeless. You'll use them year after year and they will continually be in style and on trend. So, here are my top 5:

  1. Leopard pumps – These will change the total look of any outfit. Pair them with some skinny black jeans or a pencil skirt for the office to make your legs look long and lean.

  2. Chic scarf – Whether you like them thick and chunky or soft and lightweight, any kind of scarf can completely transform a look. Also, they can also help camouflage a larger bust line.

  3. Booties – These are the trendiest shoes of all right now. Be careful of those that cut off your calf and make your legs look thicker, a lower-cut bootie is better for avoiding this.

  4. Long and short necklaces - The long necklaces will elongate your torso and layer up the shorter ones up for an added high fashion look.

  5. Burgundy handbag – This has become one of the hottest colors for fall. The beauty of burgundy is that it will go with everything (black or brown!
