6 Fall Beauty Trends to Try

Posted on October 28 2014

  1. Cat-eye. Defined eyes are very in. Cat-eye, specifically, works for the 60’s mod trend that was all over the runways a couple months ago. To make this look wearable,  keep the rest of your makeup neutral, and top off with extra coats of mascara.

  2. Matchy monochrome. Using the same color on lips and cheeks is very current, not to mention convenient. Use your favorite deep berry lip color, use your fingers to pat it into your lips, creating a soft edge. Then use the leftover lipstick on your fingers in a downward, diagonal motion on your cheeks.

  3. Neutral nails.  Gone are the days when cooler temperatures automatically meant a dark red or burgundy manicure. This season neutrals are in, and not the pale pinks you’re thinking of! Creamy light browns and matte greys are the new neutrals. We love Sally Hansen’s Truffle Shuffle and Greyfitti.

  4. Burgundy for eyes. Burgundy isn’t just for lips and nails this season. Try using darker, brown based, burgundy shadow on your lids. It’s a fresh take on smoky eye.

  5. Ballerina buns. This classic look has been all over the place in the last couple of seasons. To make it fresh for fall try slicking your hair back. This look is great for those mornings you need to hit snooze a couple extra times, but also provides a dramatic look for nights out.

  6. Lashes. Pumped up and creative lashes are the new thing. The trend ranges from Twiggy-like looks to rainbow falsies. Our recommendation is to use a few extra lashes on the corners. Once you’re used to that you can explore getting a full set of lash extensions.
