Celeb Style Envy: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Posted on November 19 2014

We’re back with celeb style envy, and this time we've got it bad for English model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

When Rosie isn't working the Victoria Secret runway, she is usually leaving us envious of her amazing sense of style. She’s often photographed  on the red carpet and tends to favor elegant dresses with detailed (or open) backs, front slits and deep necklines. What we really love is her casual style. Rosie’s style is chic, feminine and timeless, not to mention simple. She accessorizes with fashion forward bags and minimal jewelry.

Our plus size version of Rosie's shopping style and the original:

Rosie is wearing the outfit that inspired our version as an everyday look, but this is a great outfit that can be worn to many occasions  Dates, holiday parties (if dressed up with glitzier accessories) or even to work with a blazer thrown over it. Although Rosie is very tall and lean, it is also a style that can work for us plus size girls. When picking a sweater, look for one that has a loose fit but is not going to add bulk. Rosie’s leather pants add so much edge to this look, but for fuller figures we found a great pair of plus size black jeans with a coated wet look. The coated jeans wet finish gives off the look of a leather, but also provides us with the comfort and control of jeans. A pair of open toes booties is the latest trend for the fall. These shoes are great because not only do most of these shoes come with an adjustable strap, but the open toe gives us a little wiggle room.
To finish off this outfit, you need a great pair shades, a pretty nudish-pink lip and a statement bag. We love Rosie’s houndstooth Chloe bag, but chose a Michael Kors studded bag instead. Which celeb's styles do you envy most? Let us know whose style you would like to see redone in plus size.
