#TopTwelve: Beauty

Posted on September 03 2015

Do you have a beauty routine? If you do, perhaps you may want to add in some of our fav products, and if you don’t, allow this to be your shopping list because a great sense of plus size style doesn’t stop with your wardrobe.

  1. MaskerAide
Face masks are key for rejuvenating and repairing your skin (and they are fun night in, let’s be honest). We love MaskerAide because unlike other masks they use ‘sheet mask’ technology allowing our skin to soak up all sorts of good things without any drying, caking or messy clean up.

  1. Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins
Everyone has their go-to moisturizer but if you haven’t found yours yet give this line a go. It is a mineral rich renewal cream that also comes in an oil-free formulation.

  1. Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster
Just think of this as your skin’s glass of orange juice in the morning. This award winning dose of vitamin C goodness is anti-aging at its' finest. Not cheap, but worth every squirt!

  1. Smashbox Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer

This may seem like an extra step but once you try it under your foundation you will never go back. Its smooooths out any/all imperfections allowing your make up to look it’s best.

  1. Mac Cosmetics Pigments

This is a loose powder that can be used wet or dry, on eyes, cheeks and lips and you can control the intensity of the color. Basically it is a dream product that will get you out the door quickly and looking great. #TwelveNorth fav shade? Melon

  1. Lancome Bienfait UV SPF 50

We all know that sunscreen is a MUST for skincare but who wants to put on a thick greasy SPF every day? Not us! Now you can get the SPF production in a whisper finish.

  1. Benefit Benetint

Use it on your lips and cheeks for that "I just ate a popsicle" pout and "I just came in from outside" glow. No need for touch ups, it stays put all day in a tone of cherry that is flattering for all skin colors.

  1. Tea Tree Oil Thursday Plantation Australia’s Original

100% pure 100% natural. This formulation is safe to use topically to cleanse and protect the skin. Feel a break out coming on? Use this as a toner. If you haven't used tea tree oil, it has many, many applications, it's a medicine cabinet must have!

  1. Origins GinZing EyeCream

This little container packs a big punch! It depuffs and reduces dark circles yes, but we love it because it has a cooling sensation when applied. Drink a cup of coffee while applying and you will be like SO awake.

   10. Mascara Benefit Bad Gal Lash

The second Benefit product on this list, but seriously, no one does mascara better. It gives your lashes guts and length. Defining your eyes is the fastest way to look more awake and youthful…yes please!

 11. Origins Exfoliator Modern Friction

All skin types need exfoliation, but often we over do it for the sake of ‘cleansing’ and then we cause irritation and sometimes even permanent damage. Modern Friction uses natural rice starch as its main ingredient leaving our skin perfectly polished & luminous. You can use it 2-3 per week.

 12. Make Up Forever – Star Powder Highlight

Highlighter is a buzz word in makeup these days thanks to the trend in Kardashian contouring. But in reality how do you not look like a train wreck version of Kim K? start with this product: under your eyebrows, inside corners of your eyes, tops of your cheek bones and your cupids bow. Or add it to a lip gloss for some extra pucker pop!

What are your favorites that we should try?
